Greetings!
We are very sad to announce the closing of Awakenings Day Spa.

The last day of spa services will be Saturday, October 15, 2011. If you have a gift certificate or have any massages left on a package that you purchased please make your appointment before the closing date. The number here is 804-379-5520.

It has been our pleasure to serve everyone who walked through our doors.

Our goal has always been to give the best service possible to you in a relaxed atmosphere. I am confident that we met our goal. We will miss all our friends greatly.

If you are interested in continuing with services once the spa closes I have a list of the therapist numbers available. Please contact Theresa, at the spa before the 15th of Oct. to get that information. The phone will be turned off after the 15th, so please call before then.

Many of you who have used Katherine in the past will be happy to know that she will still be doing readings. She would be pleased if you would contact her at 560-3758 to schedule your appointments.

Thank you all for your business, it has been greatly appreciated. A special thanks to all of Theresa's customers for all of your support, patience and loyalty to me over the last several years. You have all stuck with me through a lot of ups and downs and changes. I am so thankful to you all. Without your help this spa could have never survived. Thank you for helping me to live a little bit of my dream. I hope to continue to serve you all in the future.

Joyce, thank you for being you!, for always been available to help with every event the spa has had! Without you, we would not have been able to have workshops and our wonderful evenings with Katherine. Your spirit has always been a true gift to the spa and to everyone...thank you, thank you, thank you.

To my family.....there are not enough words to thank you all for your patience with me. I love you all so much. You have all been there through many mood swings and still continued to support and have faith in me. You have taught me the true meaning of love.

Abigaile and Katherine....thank you for being there through it all. You guys are the greatest. Katherine....you are the best counselor ever!!! and it was a blessing to get to know you. Abigail....I hope we can continue to work together. It's not often you "get someone"....and I think we "get" each other. Not to mention...I really like working with you. You are an awesome therapist and person!

Bill, thank you for the courage to start this business. It was quite an educational experience. Hummmm...talk about an education being expensive!!....and to think, I didn't even get a degree! In all seriousness, I thank you for all you have done to help me. This really has been a wonderful journey.

Ron, thank you for your undersanding. I want to be more like you one day.

Awakenings Day Spa and Healthy Life Yoga will be hosting an Open House.
There will be free 5 min. chair massages, 5 min. reflexology sessions and a 5 min. Angel card readings. We will also have a drawing to win a free one hour massage and a gift basket give away.
The yoga studio will have yoga demonstraions and a deep relaxation session. There will be food and wine. Please come and meet our therapists and enjoy an afternoon of relaxation.

Please bring a canned food item to donate to the Food bank.

Workshops

With great excitement, we are glad to announce that the Spa will be offering monthly workshops! The workshops will be covering a variety of topics. Our hope and wish is that within our Spa, we may offer opportunities to explore and learn as well as offering services that promote a healthy body. If there are any "workshops" you would like to have us offer, please let us know. Some of the other topics we hope to offer will be Aromatherapy, Herbology, Meditation/Relaxation Techniques, Learning the Art of Tarot, Crystal/Reiki Healing Techniques, "Drumming" and Reflexology.

"An Evening with Katherine"

Our most asked for evening is back!! SEPTEMBER 16, 2011 from 5pm till 9:30pm.
Katherine will be offering her insightful and intuitive counsel with a mini tarot reading. Meet new people with the same interests as you while waiting for your reading. We ask that all our guests bring a light snack for everyone to share. We are scheduling appointments every 20 minutes from 5 till 9:30 PM. "Emotional Freedom Technique"

• The setup for the EFT procedure
• Correcting Psychological Reversal
• The basic meridian tapping points, sequence and affirmations
• Understanding different aspects of an issue

Mommy and Me Workshops

By developing a daily ritual with your child using gentle massage techniques along with calming sounds you can learn to relax your child while building a sense of trust and bonding. (Daddys are welcome too)
Please bring a comfortable mat for your child to lay on.
This workshop will be offered on October 15, 2011.
The cost is $30
